Diplomatico 2000

It's sweeter than I expected. A balanced and interesting rum, be sure to let it breathe before drinking it. It will get better after a few minutes in the glass. It's not as sweet Reserva Exclusiva but has a stronger flavor. You can taste the finishing barrels and notes of nougat caramel, vanilla, and cherry. The nose is fair, the reddish tinge shows the finish of the sherry barrels. Starts strong in the throat and is very soft and the afterburn is super long. This rum is a must-have in your collection.

when people order this rum, they think this is really special and ok for them it is, but for me is full of sugar and very expensive stuff !

Beautiful presentation. Pleasant nose. The sherry note very dominant, oaky, dried apricots, and spiciness. Very smooth finish with medium afterburn. This rum gets a low rating because im not a fan of sherry. But if you like sherry, you should try it.

Simpy divine rum it does not get much better. Well balanced not too sweet with a lot of depth and flavor. I wish I had purchased more as it is not easily available now and a lot more expensive.

Fantastic flavours

I have tried the 2000, 2001, 2004. 2000 is the best year. The later years are dryer and more woody. This bottle is perfectly balanced. Deep toffee with a perfect toasted oak finish. As smooth as they come. Its almost 2020 so probably not many left
