Smooth Rum with a lot of sugar

The Bellamy's Reserve Guyana Cask Finish is an 8-year-old Barbados rum that was allowed to be stored for another 22 months in barrels of the Enmore distillery. The rum was bottled with 40% alcohol and has 20g/l sugar added.
The rum is quite interesting in the nose. He smells heavy and sweet. Caramel and chocolate. Cocoa and vanilla also vibrate. On the palate, the rum is clearly sweet. Chocolate is in the foreground. Some fruit and a slightly woody note swing along. Also some mint that loosens the rum. But the sweetness dominates. The finish is medium long and barrel notes resonate. The rum is very easy to drink.
Normaly this rum is a must have for sweet rum drinkers. Even I liked him. But the price is absolutely exaggerated and I would never spend over 80 euros on a rum with 20g/l sugar. That's naughty. Therefore, rather no purchase recommendation. To sell the rum so expensive just because some old barrel was used is something i don't need. Taste is still 7/10.
Der Bellamy's Reserve Guyana Cask Finish ist ein 8 Jahre alter Barbados Rum, welcher noch einmal 22 Monate in Fässern der Enmore Destillerie lagern durfte. Der Rum wurde mit 40% Alkohol abgefüllt und hat ganze 20g/l Zucker.
Der Rum ist in der Nase durchaus interessant. Schwer und süffig riecht er. Karamel und Schokolade. Kakao und auch Vanille schwingen mit. Am Gaumen ist der Rum ganz klar süß. Schokolade ist im Vordergrund. Etwas Frucht und eine leicht holzige Note schwingen mit. Auch etwas Minze was den Rum auflockern. Aber die Süße dominiert. Der Abgang ist mittellang und Fassnoten schwingen mit. Durchaus Vollmundig lässt der Rum sich einfach trinken.
Dieser Rum ist eigentlich ein Muss für Süß Rum Trinker. Ich mag ihn sogar trotz des Zuckers. Aber der Preis ist absolut übertrieben und ich würde niemals über 80 Euro für einen Rum mit 20g/l Zucker ausgeben. Das ist frech. Daher eher keine Kaufempfehlung. Nur wegen einem alten Fass den Rum so teuer zu verkaufen ist schon ein starkes Stück. Geschmack ist 7/10.
