Pot still nose wouldve thought it would tast more funky based on nose but actually quite smooth. There’s a mineral or metal taste at the end. Good for a Clairin would make an interesting cocktail likely something with lemon.
Unique was the first thing that sprung to mind. This is one of of those that is so different from anything else I've had that I had to almost start from scratch.
It's very hot - almost 106 proof - and is happy to get some water, which lets it open up to spice and sour fruits on the tongue. You'd be forgiven for thinking this was a Hampden Jamaican rum, but the single cask makes the flavors all their own. Definitely one I enjoy sparingly, but enjoy very much when I open it up.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
