Sweet with artificial cherry flavor. Boozy if sipped, but works well in dark colas (except Dr. Pepper). If you like Jonah's Curse or Kraken give this a shot.
Balckheart was my very first rum. The taste was kinda strong with nice taste of vanilla and a after taste of a nice sweet tasting burn, I was filling Tipsy at 93 proof As a rookie in the rum world I dulid enjoy it enjoyed the taste and I will always keep a bottle in my cabinet. Next experience is Sailor Jerry rum.
If you want a boozy Dr. Pepper without altering the Dr. Pepper profile too much, mix this with Coke.
Flavor overwhelmingly vanilla and bite. Nothing done to tone down the burn of alcohol and there's a distinctly medicinal aftertaste.
All that said, it goes amazingly in a Cuba Libre.
This is basically just a cheaper version of Captain Morgan and it's equally mediocre. I had it once and that was enough.
Was at Walmart, saw it on the shelf, needed a new bottle, was cheap, said why not. Strong rum, taste like cherries probably a great mixer with coke. Not a bad rum, not a particularly great rum, on a bind, no regrets.
At 93 proof, this one can make you shudder if sipped neat. No telling how many chemicals are in here. Somehow, it garnered my rating of a 5, but could fall lower in the coming weeks. And indeed it did fall to a 4.
Tastes good in a cola and very affordable. I don't understand why people give crap ratings just because the rum doesn't cost at least 3 figures.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
