Great taste, great notes. Sweet but not to sweet. Vanilla, caramel, coconut and tropical fruits. Recommended.

I have purchased this rum after a quick testing sipper reminding me of my highly favourite american oak barrel rums, such as Baoruco 21y or Papiamento (newly Mombacho 12y as well). Later on I realized the finish is being done at bourbon casks as well (which I am also very fine with).
The nose is quite gentle, pleasant and sweet. There are a sweet tones of butterscotch, vanilla and fruits on the palate. I am unable to find coffee or chocolate in the flavor as stated under the rum description. The taste is quite short and narrow and first impression is usually better. Overall I have to have a mood to enjoy this one.
P.S. it strongly reminds a Cuban Eminente, which is way more famous but Eminente is more kicky and flavorful; also better amplified with a good cigar, I would say.
This rum is quite OK, relatively affordable but nothing to die for as there is a plenty of better rums in the price range already, such as Papiamento, green Diplomatico, or Vizcayas to name a few. When compared with opponents I find the nose very weak and the taste is somewhat uniteresting and nothing quite special.

Due to some new regulation in EU it looks like the Bacoo renamed the 12y to 11y and 8y to 7y at least in Czech Republic. The taste is not bad - butterscotch and vanilla with some wood, but the level of sugar is too high for me (but perhaps ok for most of beginners) Not so much complex and shorter aftertaste than I would expect from 11y aging. But the price (33Eur in CZ) is fair.

Bacoo Rum hails from the Dominican Republic, and this one here has been aged for a whole 11 years. It's column distilled from molasses before it's aged in bourbon casks. The name comes from a Caribbean legend, the Bacoo, which is similar to a genie in a bottle, though in this one you'll just find good ol' tasty rum.
Treacle notes along with caramelised nuts, chocolate-dipped coffee beans and a touch of vanilla.
