La inceput am crezut ca este un rom de 30 de ani dar nu este. Dupa aspectul sticlei te astepti la un super rom dar din pacate e mult sub asteptari, nu e rau dar nici bun. La banii aia orice alternativa e mai buna.
Tabacco, chocolate with dried fruit.Coffee and leather notes. A very long aftertaste, this rum was formated for cigar lovers. Complex but not enough for me. Real rate : 8.5
I think it is a very good rum. Maybe over aged. I don´t believe the aging is actually doing any better here. I would just bottle it earlier and sell it cheaper. Would consider buying again but at a lower price.
Just like its younger cousin the anejo, this more exclusive product excells in holding back overt sweetness and instead putting herbal, spicy and nutty qualities. it has a light quality that I actually like, making it lively. Not as oaky as one might have thought for such old rum, but still with a vrty smotth and balanced mix of the aforementioned tastes.
There is a fair nose.. Some pure alcohol in it.. The taste is strong and have some nice tones.. But the finish is whats kills it for me.. Pure alcohol and the finish fades down to cheap moonshine.. Not much sweetness in it..
The nose is classic dominican and somewhat neutral in that regard. Light oak, sweet toffee and a hint of banana rise from the glass. The body and taste is medium full, soft and a little oily with deep notes of toffee, some molasse and light oaky spices. The finish is long, clean and smooth. Altogether it reminds me of a slightly more full version of the Zacapa XO. It's good but i am letting my rating reflect a pretty hefty overpricing.
Not quite a nine and a bit pricy for the cool bottle. It is still a winner if you are willing to pay a 100 bucks for it.
Very fine aged rum. A 12 year old blend of Dominican rums out of which two years are in French oak barrels.
Nice oaky nutty notes on the nose, once you get past the spirit punch, it is a 43% rum.
Taste wise you get the same as on the nose with added sweetness. Reminds me of a courvoisier xo.
An excellent sipping rum that is great for a cigar, on a quiet day. To be enjoyed and savored at leisure.
Nicely packaged for cardboard, not quite cedar and leather but at sub $100 quite nice. Bottle first class also with tin or soft metal cap seal. Slightly red deep mahogany color in the bottle, easy on the nose first sip a tad sweet but has long lingering flavor. 30th anniversary blend doesn’t say how long it was aged, 43%. This is a nice bottle of rum very easy to drink slightly sweet but not over the top, the long lasting depth makes it a solid 9. Could drink this all night long.

Very nice but overpriced 7 out of 10
This rum isn't 30 years old as many think. it is like 12ish. It's just a limited version and carefully blended, aged a few years after normal procedure in french sweet wine casks i think. But anyway, a very nice one if you don't need to do maths. You get 4-5 bottles of Barcelo Imperial ...and its not 5times better
