48.8% ABV. Bit harsh on the nose with the higher ABV. Strong ripe cherries though with raisins and nuts following. The aroma is truly amazing.

Wow. No hint of Agricole on the nose but a huge hit of it on the tongue! That vegetal buttery-ness accompanied by excitingly fresh fruit to join the party. Bits of vanilla and citrus end up here too. Lots to unpack. Very interesting, unique to anything I’ve tried so far. Nice to have some new flavours.

It’s my first experience with That Boutique-y Rum Company. I really wish they did full sized bottles, it's so damn expensive.

First of all this rum tastes great. Can't find much info about it on their website but as another reviewer pointed out it could be an agricole. Im not sold on that yet, but it does have a sweet vegetative taste. Maybe its the label that has skewed me but the lingering notes are of port... that deep fruity flavour. Maybe it matured in port casks or maybe its so good Im just hallucinating. While I appreciate that boutique-y rum co wants to not be pretentious... just tell us about the offering, because telling us nothing IS pretentious. Anyways, I like their offerings.

Nose: Fermented fruits, citrusy and grasy notes. Some grains are also there, sugar cane. A little bit glue with peach. Quite good agricole nose.

Taste: Starts with fermented fruits and citrusy notes. Followed by black tea and grasy notes.
More fermented fruits are in the background, some barrel aromas.
The finish is a little bit spicy with more black tea (reminds me of brandy) and some orange.

I'm not a big fan of agricole, but I think this one is very good.
Could be more intensive, but aromas are nice and it's still mild at 48.8%. Would rate it with 78 points.

Only bought this for a change of pace , wasn't expecting much. A dark straw colour in the glass. On the nose , slight caramel or honey. Tastes very dry with a bit of a burn but thats ok for 48.8% !
Its a 7 yr old rum made from sugar cane juice , distilled in a tradional column still then left to mature.
No mention of barrels used but it is quite whisky like in taste. This although reasonbly pleasant , will go on the mixer / cocktail shelf.. oh , and 5oo mls bottle.. never saw that !!
