Damoiseau XO 6-Year

Ce rhum vaut largement le détour. son prix. On sent mieux le gout boisé et la vanille que le XO.

Ce rhum achete a la rhumerie pour 38 euros il vaut largement son prix.le vsop etait tres bien et celui la est meilleur.on sent mieux le gout boise.a ce prix c est vraiment de la super qualute sur la vanille il reste moyennement complexxe.je prefere le 8 ans meilleur pour moi.note 8.5.

Dégusté directement à la distillerie, excellent rhum

il a du coffre, on sent bien le coté "agricole"...il reste en bouche, un coté boisé sympa.

I got to sip a shot at the bar. Tasty. A bit to much alcohol on the nose. Somewhat lighter taste profile and maybe even agricultural.

un bon rhum de tradition guadeloupéen. Vieilli dans son fut, du caractère juste ce qu'il faut !

I'm a complete fan of Damoiseau white rum so that I was expecting a lot from its XO, 6 years old, counterpart.

I must admit that it has been quite a disappointment:
- The color is a light amber dressed in a rather common flask, nearly the same as the Navy Pusser's rums for instance,
- The nose is predominantly flavored with oak, spices and tobacco,
- Under the palate, oak flavors are once again predominant. This rum is rather acid and dry.

In my opinion this rum is a bit too young to be really interesting. I've been told that the 8 years old rum from Damoiseau is better, richer and more complex than this one ... I'll have to try.
