I like ageing after sherry, madeira etc.. but this is too much. On the nose you can already feel mixure of rum and wine, really o lot of grapes. And taste is the same, sweet with grapes and tropical fruit.

Chestnut honey coloured amber in a glass.
Very special on the nose, as if you were tasting rum in a winery. You stand in the big wine cellar and admire the barrels, in the next room bottles are filled and sealed with wax. Very complex and interesting. Wood in various variations, fresh barrel, used wine barrel, charred barrel that still smoulders and smokes a little. Fruits in all colours, berries, herbs, caramel and earth.
On the palate even more special and not as inspiring as the fragrance. Fruitsmash with burnt, bitter caramel, red wine sauce and a pinch of salt.
In the finish, well leaves a funny coating on the tongue.... I would prefer a bitter medicine....
Sorry, I'm not really into Mex-Rum. For lovers of funny things and tequila friends.

Starting 24 samples of Days of rum, number 2 is vanilla, sweet classic rum, tasty, moderate alcohol with smooth finish.
You could probably pick this out for being a Mexican rum straight away , notes of candied tequila on the first nosing .
Start of the tasting you can taste the whiskey from the barrel and mixing process .
Even after this rum was left breathing for around 5 minutes it tastes more like bourben whisky then rum , like a sweetened whisky ...
Nevýrazný, mierne sladkasty, naozaj nič čo by som si chcel zopakovat
Nose of red berries like Abuelo. Taste is dry and oak-like with a bit of smoke. Everything I don't like in my rum. Better that the other Pixan I have had, but nok more than a five from me. Nose is way better than the taste.

Nose 2/5
Taste 4/5
raisins, stronger aroma, more alcoholic taste (banana, pineapple?)
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Aroma is not strong, but pleasant and fruity. Taste is sweet with red wine, cherry and fruity tones. Aftertaste is not very long but nice with pineapple tones.
