The nose is a bit solvent, but the taste is a very smooth and soft caramel. Pleasant for sipping but nothing really special about it.
Solid bourbon influenced whisky, pleasant, maybe a bit sweetened, hint of white pepper, very reminiscent of Dominican rums.
Rich amber color and good smell. You can feel green apple, milk chocolate and some caramel. Sugar was added, of course, but still tasty. Would recommend as a sipper.
This was a pleasant surprise. Smooth, sweet and a very nice ending. If Guatemala taste like this, then i want a big piece of the country.
High quality molasse rum, fermented and distilled in traditionnal column. Once distilled, the rum is transported to the North-West of Guatemala, then transferred into old bourbon casks at 180m altitude above the sea. This rum is aged for 4 years above the Hondo river, where humidity allows to slow down the ageing process, in an almost tropical climate region. One of the lightest rums in our selection, with a pleasantly sweet touch in the Latin style but without ever becoming too sugary. Suggested Match: Valrhona Tanariva 33%, a delicate milk chocolate from Madagascar with a buttery mouthfeel suited to the soft character of this rum.
