Foursquare 2010 Detente 10-Year

Lidt for meget bourbon til at den kan få mig helt op og ringe.

This is decent rum but just not good enough for this brand. Unfortunately, I had it side by side with The Sagacity, which was superb. This one is thin without much complexity. Nice finish but everything about this rum falls short of Sagacity and other Foursquare offerings.

Klasický rum od palírny Foursquare. Prostě chutná.

Foursquare Detente 10 yr rum (51%)

Finally got my hands on a small sample of Foursquare Detente and Foursquare 2005. Starting with Detente let me tell you the nose on this rum is simply fantastic, it reminds me a lot of St.Nicholas Abbey 12 yr. The increased ABV to 51% seems to be the perfect strength for this beauty. If I had access to this rum in my area I would definitely keep 6+ bottles on hand. Sadly in Canada Foursquare offerings are few and far between and nearly impossible to acquire.
Well done Mr. Seale, I will continue my search for other similar products from Foursquare… and thank you to David for providing these samples.

Honestly hands down one of the best rums I have ever tasted

Nasladlé, jemné ovocné ve vůni, dlouhý závěr, v chuti ještě trochu sudu a ovoce.

Good overall, I don't think it's amazing for my own tastes. Very spicy, woody, bourbon, but balanced enough. Dry and boozy.

Skvělé nasládlé dřevité pití s ovocnými tóny, lehce štiplavý. Přesně dle mého gusta.

My reviews aren’t that sophisticated yet, maybe my pallette isn’t either but I know what I would buy again and what I wouldn’t actively seek. This one is a nice sipping rum, seems a bit immature to me as it’s missing some of the base notes but pleasant enough if it’s offered.
