A really attractive bottle, but the rum is nothing special, it is good to drink, but I think there are better rums in this price range.
This one i was recommended in a wine store. Unfortunately there were not a lot of rums with democratic price. This rum is not bad, it has very smooth and plesant taste, there is no alcohol biting, but it has very weak odor, maybe it`s good because it`s not spiced, so i don`t see any flaws here .
Canny. Smooth, no burn. Filled in Hamburg apparently
just a normal good rum, nothing very fancy but realy good enough to buy and try it!
Bottle and label design are amazing!
Ron Piet war einst der treue Papagei eines berüchtigten Piraten. Gemeinsam galten sie als der Schrecken der Meere.
Sweet, somewhat bland golden rum with very muted vanilla / orange / banana / cinnamon flavours.
Probably good for cocktails for teenagers.
I can't say this is one of the best i've ever had but i was positively surprised by it! It might even be more of a six if it comes down to the rum but the surprise added something!
Was excited to try this rum following a recommendation from a German friend. Not disappointed but not blown away either.
First of all the bottle looks great. Really unique take on a traditional rum bottle and nice detail on the glass.
The rum itself is a lovely light golden colour. Lovely vanilla and citrus aromas in the glass. When tasting the first sip can be a little harsh in the mouth but leaves you with that sweetness you get with rum with a hint of grapefruit. This is a 10 year old rum from Panama aged in bourbon barrels. I personally didn’t pick up much of that Smokey taste you can get from bourbon aged rums but overall really enjoying it. Also find it gets better if left in the glass for 15-20 mins before drinking. Would defiantly but another bottle and look forward to discovering more of the Hamburg Distilling company’s rums in future.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Mild and easy

Beautiful soft caramel nose nicely balanced nutty and fruity notes - more than I’d expect from a 10-year. Soft, butter taste with a nice mellow and long spice. Very mild and easy to sip. I wouldn’t call it complicated, but really enjoyable to sit back and sip - highly recommend for someone “newer” to rum who cares more about smooth vs complex.
