Do not sleep on this bottle! Great for sipping, and the right amount of hogo to take a good cocktail over the top while not getting lost. Extremely smooth, little to no alcohol bite, and extremely complex flavors. I will always have a bottle of this behind my bar.

I want to try this brand, because is from Jamaica. Taste is really smooth depend of age of rum.

I am not actually a big specialist in aged or expensive rums but i supposed that it should be good according to local reviews. The flavour is strange, i am not sure it`s a banana tones seems like cask`s wall or something synthetical not very good.Maybe it`s common taste for this manufacutre i don`t know for sure. But what more surprised me - it`s how it feels like. It`so smooth, well ballanced and there is almost no alchohol bite. Very cool. Defintely one of the best fo me so far.

This is a good rum, and I recommend people try it. Personally I like Zacapa 23 and Flor De Cana 12 better, but still think this is a good one for the liquor cabinet.

At 86 proof, it's a little strong, but the flavor more than makes up for that. Bright and clean, with a fruity finish. No molassas and not too sweet. Pairs well with a medium to strong cigar (See photo).

Was the second ever rum I tried and was fantastic, haven’t had much of it so can’t comment on the flavours but boy is it a lovely rum

New here and exploring. Picked this one up on recommendations and am very happy with it. For a Jamaican it’s not too funky (and I love funk) but has an oaky mellowness to it that I quite enjoy. Almost a Cuvée finish that goes down smooth and lets you know it’s got some good age to it. One I will definitely be keeping on my shelf.

I think this one is real treasury of Appleton Estate production. This rum is much smoother than Signature (Signature Blend/VX), but at the same time it doesn't yield to Signature in aroma and flavour intensivity.

After having it about 18 months in my cabinet, I had to just dump this one, I wanted to like it and never could. The Appleton Joy on the other hand is one of the best rums ever made - to me.

I love Appleton Estate distillery and the 21 years old is my favourite rum ever. This 12 years old rum is its younger brother and fortunately it is much cheeper. A very complex rum, funky (especially in the aftertaste) and oaky in both nose and mouth. It has its sweetness, given by some vanilla flavours, but I found the 21 years old to be much sweeter. Surely a top quality jamaican rum
