Sampled at the Laka Loco Rum Club tasting on 12/28/22. Pours a light gold color. Aroma is a delightful tropical fruit and honey. Palate is "sticky" in that it seems buttery and thick. Flavor is a big honey sweetness, woody (oak?), and finishes with a mild pepper bite. Very nice rum. My favorite of the easy to obtain Cihuatan rums.

Aroma is gentle with vanilla and caramel.
Taste is easy, lightly sweet, not complex with again mostly vanilla taste. Aftertaste is short.

Rum Runde.

Amber in the glass.
In the nose rich and powerful. A barrel full of caramel cream candy with candied fruit and vanilla on top.
Soft and sweet on the palate. The caramel cream candies melt slowly on the tongue. The candied fruit, vanilla and wood round it all out.
Aromatic on the finish and quickly gone. The fruit goes first, the candy sticks to the tongue a little longer, some wood remains.
A simple rum as / or for dessert and coffee is quite ok. For beginners and sweet rum lovers.
For dessert for the 8th rum round.

Something of an anise note on the background, mildly sweet.

the nose on this brand appears to be unique that they provide the most incredible nose of any rum brand. it smells like a wonderful chocolate bar with caramel and vanilla. When tasting those notes are even more pronounced and joined by chocolate. the warmth lingers and this proves to be as strong a sipper as the Cihuatan 8 year old Gran Reserva and Cinabrio rums were. I can hardly wait to find the Obsidiana rum

More marketing, design than taste. Not bad, not good...average.

Sweet cone, vanilla and caramel in aroma; Sweet milk chocolate, egg nog and vanilla with plain body; absent tail

Hazelnut meets vanilly, with a mild hotness to it. Good rum to start a tasting session

In the aroma and in the taste is vanilla. Just vanilla everywhere, but it isn't disturbing. This rum is sweet and light at all, with very short end.

The aroma has a strong alcohol overtone, but the taste is smooth with notes of almonds and vanilla. This rum leans towards the sweeter side of the spectrum and leaves a pleasant nose.
