Kirk and Sweeney Reserva 12-Year

I bought this because the bottle looked awesome. Pairs well with juice.

One of my favourite value rums is always on sale under $30 a bottle. Probably the one I’ve bought the most except for Matusalem 15 when it was really good…

I think I’ve tried all the K & S rums and am confused by the labeling and change of labeling. Anyway the 12 year reserva is a decent but not great rum hint of citrus some alcohol scent and burn. For a few dollars more go for the 18 or 23.

Very nice, enjoying it so far. I can’t compare as it’s my first rum that I’ve sipped on.

Very nice for the price but not much depth in the flavor.

First of all I like most/all my Rums to be enjoyed neat and sip with a good cigar and or good company. This is a good smooth rum, not too sweet but not one I’d just enjoy every night. With that said, I will try more of Kirk & Sweeney rums.

Very good sipping rum form K & S. Holds its own against the earlier 12 yo. Sweet but not too much, very mild burn and a lasting tingle on the mouth.
Only tried it neat or with a ice cube, well worth the money.

Beautiful bottle, complex and smooth nose and a well rounded pallet this rum is well worth while. I got a bottle to take on a stag do and my uncle poured it all out between 4 of us in under an hour. Worth the money and no where near as sweet as many of the apparently aged rums that are on the market at the moment.

This rum is very similar to the original 12 year Kirk and Sweeney. I'd say this had a bit more to it and definitely preferable.
