As a fan of rye rum I like this one. Slightly strong but nice
Got a sample of this rum from RR Tasting Club. Itโs unmistakable an rum produced in Panama, which is my favorite country when it comes to Latin styled rum.
The ABV of 50% balances the sweetness well and so does also the finish in Rye Whiskey Barrels.
I think itโs possible to detect vanilla, toffee, oak and of course hints of Rye Whiskey.
I have no problem to recommend it.

Wow! You can really taste the rye in this. The nose is very light, fruity, and has the bourbon smell. The taste has some subtle sweetness, peppery hints, and a nice woody finish. Very smooth finish with hints of cloves. Probably wonโt keep a bottle on hand.

I really like the combination of tastes with the spice of rye combining with the molassas of this rum. It adds a complexity that isn't usually there. The nose of this rum is subtle, but the finish is excellent if you like the taste of rye.

Very dry rum but goes down good.
I would add to my collection and try it neat and let it air out a few minutes changes the taste to a smoother rum
Caramel and sour cherry nose. Interesting blend of dry with a spicy long finish, really lasts a while. Smokey with hints of leather and bark. Iโm not a whiskey lover, but I like this a lot more than normal whiskey type dry rums. Probably for more complex palates, certainly not a typical sweet rum. I might not sip that often, but enjoy something this different. Strong 7 for me, add 1-2 for whiskey drinkers.
You can certainly taste the rye. Very nice. Besides the rye there is some oak and clove emerging. Supple. Smooth. I might like the trophy just a little better but both are very good. Nice balance. Medium finish. Better on ice than neat but good either way. Bravo Panama......again!

Nose is reminiscent of a rye heavy bourbon without many traditional rum notes. Not as hot as the 50% ABV would suggest. Tastes a bit spicy, but overall pretty smooth. One for whiskey fans.

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Hang for a lewd cur! This rum has a bright aroma about her! Aye, she definitely be a rum, not one of those pretend rums that try to lure you below deck with promises of treasure and women and more rum! There be the usual oak smell, but there also be a bit of spiciness and a hint of... leather? Definitely somethin' warm and savory hidin' below deck. On the tongue, there be an immediate flavor of dark chocolate. Creamy almost... and while you be distracted by all that, she launches an attack out of nowhere! The spiciness found on the nose comes out of nowhere showin' both swords and a willingness to dominate you with her peppery devil rum magic! It be a welcome surprise, but it also lingers for quite a while! Aye, there be a slight burn goin' down the hatch, but that peppery burn on the tongue lasts much longer. The warm she puts in your belly be perfect for those cold nights on deck... not that any of the crew be gettin' any of THIS. And for all of the biscuit-eatin' land lubbers who are NOT pirates and can NOT handle the burn of this beauty, all I can offer is this: if you cannot handle the burn, stay off the high seas. Yes, this be a sippin' rum! A SOLID sippin' rum that has no business gettin' mixed up with anythin' other than a shot glass. Yarrgh!!!
