Saint Lucia | Aged | 40% ABV
Admiral Rodney Extra Old rum is produced in St. Lucia using a continuous still, and then aged in American oak casks for an average of 12 years.
The rum is named after British Naval Officer Admiral George Rodney, who in 1782 as the Governor of St. Lucia rebuffed the Spanish fleet in the "Battle of the Saints".

I like it more than the Chairman's Reserve Fogotton Cask in the same distillery.
Not too sweet and has banana, vanilla, caramel flover.
Overall, it feels like the rum of Barbados, but it has a refreshing flavor.
If it doesn't have that refreshing flavor, I'll be up one point.
Rhum plus épicé se rapprochant du whisky. Peu d'aromes au nez mais se rattrappe bien en bouche. Arriere gout très plaisant.
this rum is a 7, period. There are plenty better, but it's decent as a sipper. Not bad but there are better for cheaper
nice pleasant sipping rum but not as many subtleties in flavors as the 1931
There is no strong alcohol taste but after the sweetness has gone there is a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. It gets tastier with time at the air and increased temperature.
Great looking bottle and excellent reviews. Once I had a chance to compare it to other St. Lucia Distillery rums, like 1931, I chose the lather.... not bad but definitely falls short.
Definitely a man's rum. Mild burn, no sweetness whatsoever ever.

Notes of banana and a little tropical fruit.
"There is an alcohol burn. Banana and a little black grape, hints of vanilla contribute to the overall smoothness of the rum. ."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This rum has a nice dry spicy taste with just a little bit of burn. There is also a leathery smell and taste to it.
