Nice small batch rum

I used to live and still often work in Chicago. There is a local Illinois distillery that is quite good. North Shore distillery. This double wood rum is aged for 4 years in bourbon casks. Then aged for 2 more in cherry wood casks with Mexican vanilla bean added. The results is a rum light in color and nose but long in taste and smoothness. The cherry wood finish is very prominent. Easy sipper. A little thin but it has a great bite with plenty of sumptuous vanilla and cherry wood flavor. No additives, no added sugar. Just good smooth small batch distilling art. Nice light finish. Nice rum!
