Myrtle Bank is the best non additive Rum I have sampled. The majority of rum producers add flavoring and caramel to soften the profile. Myrtle Bank has no artificial flavoring. Worth every dollar for this amazing expression of Jamaican Rum!
Agrícole funk on the nose… tropical notes on the palate. Would love to mix on a Daiquiri, Planter’s Punch or Mojito!
reminds me of a version of hampdon the younger, nice bit of funk but not overwhelming, slight burn, has that banana peel undertone. Sippable but would make a killer daiquiri
$100 for The Myrtle Bank 10-year Single Cask
The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering notes of oak, toffee, and a whisper of warming spices. This Single Cask Rum is a refined and contemplative spirit, showcasing the artistry of aging in a way that captivates the discerning palate.

Very Nice Rum 8 out of 10
Very nice rum! Not sure that it is worth the price (around $100.00 on the average), but it is a pretty good product. Cool bottle, though the cork is a bit on the small side and doesn't make for the best seal. Maybe mine had just shriveled a bit as I could smell the rum through it (and it smelled good!). Beautiful deep gold color. Not sure how may casks, but a seemingly limited bottling, which has an appeal to it.
Worthy Park distilled, aged in UK (Scotland?) for 10 years, then bottled in San Francisco - quite the journey!
On the nose, a bit of alcohol, but considering the ABV, it's minimal and not at all off-putting. The funk is mild, but you know it's Jamaican. Oak, vanilla, light spice, a dash of maple. Quite pleasant, nothing overwhelming.
On the palate, very smooth for the ABV, but toasty at the same time. Peppery, oak, some bitterness, mild funk with some fruit, like pineapple, hints of chocolate and a mild sweetness as well. Light-Medium body, with a medium finish that includes oak, molasses, and a tad of phenol. Nothing offensive.
Overall, pricey, but quite enjoyable. Opens up with time in the glass. Glad I bought this one.
UPDATE: Makes for a very nice Mai Tai, on its own, and also in equal parts with Doctor Bird! Not financially practical for cocktails, but darned good nonetheless!
