I had high hopes that this would replace any recipes that use rum and lime as a quick fix, but I can't quite put my finger on why it just doesn't work.

Feel a little like it ruins the dead man's fingers base too so for me not on the list to buy again. I'm not saying its a terrible rum but just not for me.

Often have lime with a rum and coke? Cut out the fruit completely and use this as the rum! Great flavour mixed with the caramel stuff. Enjoyed this one

Yeah , I liked it.
Easy enough drank, nice mixed in cocktails when an extra lime kick is needed

The basic DMF spiced is adequate, but lacking depth of flavour. This is similar, but with artificial lime flavour added. I should have bought a better rum and some limes.

In my view not as nice as fresh lime but palatable.

If you are going to have a spiced rum, lime goes quite well in it. Dead Man's Fingers do a decent set of spiced rums. This one is drinkable. Far from being a classic, but you wouldn't expect it to be.

I'm a fan of Dead Man's Fingers spiced rum. I also quite like the hemp one, though I realise that's an unpopular opinion.

This flavoured one though, I suppose it does what it says. It's like the spiced but with lime, but there's no subtlety to the flavour. The lime element tastes like they've just whacked cordial in with it. It's drinkable, but drinking straight, is poor compared to the spiced rum, especially after the first couple of sips. With a mixer, once again, it's fine, but you'd be better off sticking a bit of lime juice and a wedge in with the normal spiced rum.
