A sweet "Agricole" Rhum

The Rhum consists of fresh sugar cane juice from the Caribbean and was allowed to rest for 15 years in American soft oak barrels bevor getting bottled with 46% as a single cask at the Swabian Alb. It is limited. No colour or other additives have been added. The bottle comes with 0.5l
The 46% are perfectly integrated into the Rhum and are hardly perceptible, except that it is warm on the palate. Immediately after opening, the Albfink shows that it has a lot to offer. Fruit, creamy sweetness and dried fruits delight the nose. It's worth enjoying the Rhum over your nose. On the palate, the sweetness of the virgin oak barrel is intense. Oak and some spice are there. Together with fruity floral notes, he drinks himself pleasantly mild and appealing. In the finish, the Rhum is mild and the barrel becomes more present without being intrusive. A mild but also kind of creamy sweet Rhum that has convinced me even if it is one the sweet side.
Only the screw cap is unfortunately negative to mention.
Der Rhum besteht aus frischem Zuckerrohr Saft aus der Karibik und durfte 15 Jahre in amerikanischen Weicheichefässern ruhen bevor er auf der schwäbischen Alb abgefüllt wurde. Der Albfink ist ein Single Cask und limitiert. Es wurden keine Farb oder andere Zusatzstoffe hinzugefügt. Die Flasche kommt mit 0,5l und 46% Trinkstärke.
Die 46% sind perfekt in den Rhum integriert und sind kaum wahrnehmbar, außer dass er warm am Gaumen ist. Direkt nach dem Öffnen zeigt der Albfink das er viel zu bieten hat. Frucht, dicke Süße, Vanille und Trockenobst entzücken die Nase. Der Rhum wirkt schwer und cremig. Es lohnt sich den Rhum erst einmal über die Nase zu genießen. Am Gaumen ist der Rhum erstaunlich Süß. Das Virgin Oak kommt klar durch. Eiche und Würze schwingen mit. Zusammen mit fruchtig blumigen Noten trinkt er sich angenehm und ansprechend. Im Abgang ist der Rhum mild und das Fass wird präsenter ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Ein milder, aber irgendwie auch cremiger Rhum der unbedingt pur getrunken werden muss und mich überzeugt hat, auch wenn er am süßen Rand unterwegs ist.
Einzig der Schraubverschluss ist leider negativ zu erwähnen.
