Beautiful amber in the glass.
In the nose dull and heavy, you feel in the hold of an old barge. The ribs were freshly tarred times ago, the stores are filled with wooden boxes full of vanilla beans and caramel sticks. in the engine room next door hums the engine, there is a little smell of lubricants, gunpowder vapor from times past somehow floats in the room.
On the palate, warm, soft and supple like silk of which there are obviously also some bales on board. The caramel picked up is really tasty and makes a great marriage with the vanilla beans. After further rummaging, boxes of candied fruit are still found, at the very back of the aggregate, some tar sticks to it and small splashes of oil can be made out.
In the finish, the flavors slowly disappear piece by piece in the dark sea like the knobs of the plumb line.
A rum that needs a lot of time, warmth and love, but then shows its great sides. Had this sample open for about an hour and tempered to 25°C. For lovers of slightly dirtier rums, Cuba style fans and connoisseurs -8

Nose is very unremarkable, aftertaste saves the experience with the oaky and fruity flavor reminiscent of Santiago rums.

This stuff is delightful for a Cuban rum. Decent value for money - too drunk for tasting notes

(12. december 2021 i 1423)

Had just a sample of this Cuban column distilled rum from the Vigia distillery.
In nose it’s smoky and oaky.
In mouth and palate as well as during the medium long finish it’s still smoky and oaky, but also quite dry. I also recognize caramel and dried fruits.
Overall an elegant and rich rum that’s slightly better than the Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros.

Dry and soft with a wooden note. Contains only 5.5 grams of sugar per litre.
First of Bodega Vigia's Progresiva line available outside Cuba.
13 like the day the Cuban Revolution started (13 March 1957).

Very nice, balanced, dry, smooth & soft. Oak, vanilla, tobacco leaf, chocolate, dry fruits in taste and aroma. Very good for sipping. A bit expensive - you can get better for this money, but still good!
