Kenny Chesney could neither sing nor produce rum. This hayseed dick is trying to kill us all. The worst part is he is taking a great spirit and dragging it behind his damn tractor through the mud. This redneck needs to be stopped. If we made him drink some of his own putrid product he would have to stop.

Country of Origin:
Barbados

Bottle:
A nice frosted, heavyweight bottle that can easily slip through your hand if you've had one too many. It looks very at home sitting on a beach bar or in the sand.

Glass:
As clear as vodka, the rum creates thin legs that stream quickly down the sides.

Nose:
Notes of banana and coconut are easily noticed with the sting of alcohol drifting through every once in a while. Even before drinking, the nose promises a high level of sweetness. The smell is best enjoyed with your nose a little higher than usual from the glass.

Tongue:
As expected, the tropical banana and coconut flavors pop on the tongue immediately, but they quickly fade, giving way to a strident and fierce alcohol burn that wipes out all flavors.

Finish:
Not too harsh, but a smoother finish would have meshed well with the mild banana/coconut mixture. Instead you get a thin stream of fire going down. I can see how this rum could work very well as a mixer.

Aftertaste:
The tropical flavors return once the burn fades, leaving behind a ghost of the initial offering.

Overall:
Mild tropical flavors mix with a medium burn which impedes on the experience somewhat. Good for what it was likely designed for: drinking in a cocktail in a beach chair near the ocean. Not enough complexity for sipping, there are much better options out there.

Sampled at Thunderhead on 4/9/23. Clear. Smells neither blue nor like a chair. Fairly pedestrian.

I recommend Don Q over this based on price. Don Q is a little better, too. But this is sognificantly better than Captain Morgan and Bacardi, which tend to be around
the same price.

It's like Bacardi, with less burn. It's also not as unpleasant smelling.

For some reason I thought this brand would deliver an astonishing flavourful and smooth white at a great price. The reality is that while it may be cheap, it has that stringent taste that whites have with a tinge of fruitiness. It is not that smooth but works as a mixer on par with bacardi but with a fancier bottle. Maybe worth a try if you want to try a different mixer.

Light sweet goes down like water. I can't complain, but at the same time I can't be excited.

Thought this was a very good rum for a mixer. Kenny Chesney has got a good brand!

Higher quality than your regular stock white rums. Brings a nicer element to mixing.

I use several different brands of rum in my cocktails, Bacardi, Captain Morgan, Tortuga, they are basically all similar, good enough for cocktails, they are far from being a superior rum.
