Dzama Vanilla

As name of rum says, it is really vanilla rum with all of sweetness of this spicy.

The vanilla is there.. Even though it taste somewhat synthetic.. But all of the taste i hidden behind a screen of old dry taste.. Maybe it needs to brethe for a while..

An excellent tasting rum. Definite vanilla taste with a bit of spice. If you like vanilla rum definitely recommended.

Great for cocktails or desserts but lack of body and complexity for sipping

So having tried 2 of their Vanilla infused Rhums recently im assuming this listing is for the 3 year old? (Admin - Please correct me if im wrong...) Anyways as i say above it's range really is refreshingly different. Being know as a particularly aromtaic island with plenty of fragrant flowers and vines growing in close proximity of the sugar cane used, its really does end with a complex and interesting product. I really enjoyed this aswell as the 10 year (would give the 10yr an 8/10 - was slightly smoother and more rounded) and look forward to trying them again. You get lots Vanilla initially as expected but it works really well with the soft balance of spicyness and sweetness that runs along your palate as it finishes.

Rich vanilla aroma; hints of caramel and spice. Tastes sweet with a subtle oakiness. The taste is a bit artificial, not particularly in a good sense. Also a bit too flat or alcoholic.

I find this rum tasty but too sweet and too much vanilla in the taste. it has a very pronounced vanilla flavor, but too much for me and I am a lover of the vanilla spice. But when vanilla is paired with sugar and takes over the rum it just can get too much. The label is very beautiful.
