Brugal Siglo de Oro

Still got the bleue bottle. Best rum in my collection(aprx.130 diff. bottles) next to the solera rum zacapa xo. Paid it 220 euros 10 years ago. It could almost not be found in Europe that time. UNTHINKABLE NOT HAVING THIS TUM IN A GOOD RUM COLLECTION!!!!! YOUR MISSING OUT SOMETHING EXTRAORDINARY!!!

Edle Abfüllung in hochwertiger Flasche. Nicht ganz so weich. Lang anhaltender Geschmack leicht nach Karamell.

This is a very good rum. I consider it to be on the dry side as it is not very sweet. This makes it more subtle in the tastes it produces. Medium to long taste in mouth. If you like caramel and pure plantation rums this is reminescent a little bit in the dryness.

First time I tried this rum, I was a little disappointed. I let it sit in my cabinet for a few months, revisited it and enjoyed it very much. I didn't find it too sweet and love the finish. It can be hard to come by and a bit expensive... so I save it for special occasions. Would buy again.

Brugal has done some nice basic Rums and my expectations where high when I got this one. Unfortunately I should not have purchased it. Yes Rum can be dry and this for sure is. I have nothing against dry Rum, but in this case al the taste and flavours had gone with the sugar. I probably going to mix rest of it in different drinks instead of drinking straight up

Bougtht this when I visited Brugal Distillery in Puerto Plata. It has a deep golden color with a rich, almost syrupy consistency. Scent of wood and dry fruits in the aroma.

The palette is complex , soft and oily . Hints of caramel and then bitter chocolate with a distant smoky touch. Long and pleasant aftertaste with a spicy finish.

This is really one of the best in my collection . Oak , butterscotch and almond flavor.

Es un ron seco,un aroma sutil a Cherry ,chocolate,madera, almendras,en paladar al principio fuerte luego calienta tu garganta , un sabor persistente que teja deseando mas, muy buen ron, en una elegante presentación.

Smooth, dry and elegant. But it is one of those where your mood makes a difference, some days its a 5 and some days a 10.

Clearly a matter of taste, but if you don't like sweet this is a very nice rum. Reminds me very much of a nice cognac.
