As common as anything in Cuba. Very cheap and popular. The brand the locals drink, and you can see why. Not one to have straight, but any other way it's a winner. Fill up your suitcase on the way home with this!
Wonderful flavor- very smooth. recommend it to dark / aged rum drinkers
I tried this rum in Cuba in 2008. I remember that it was very common on the island, and it was very similar to the añejoHC. good taste and flavor
Nice rum tu buy as presents when you go to Cuba, very inexpensive yet still tropical
Great tasting sipping rum for the price. Hard to find in Cuba anymore but worth purchasing if you can
found somewhere in the net that this is same rum as havana anejo especial just different package, we tested them and aroma and mouth and color really the same ... so i ll give it
same rating !
Not a huge difference from the extra Anejo 12 similar taste a bit more alcohol scent and not as much depth. Classic Cuban rum neither can hold their own to the 20 one of my favorites.
I bought this one in Cuba in 2013. It was nothing special. To me the Havana line is much better than this.
Plus dur à trouver que le Havana Club, mais beaucoup plus savoureux, excellent pour rhum & coke, arôme de vanille et très doux en bouche. Pour le prix c'est très dur à battre.
As far as I can discern this rum is the Havana Club 7 of the Santiago line. Okay straight up and certainly better than most lower tier rums available in Canada, but not one I would bring back from Cuba. The 12 year old is worlds above this.
Sweet smelling, an almost red wine like note.
"Finish whilst reasonably long is very one dimensional, oaky and bitter."

Not bad at all 6 out of 10
I had a taste test between this variety and the 11 year. There was not much to choose between the two which surprised me. The nod between the two foes to the 11 year, but if you consider value for the dollar go with this brand. Hence a 6/10 rating.
