The smell almost don't exist, it's a bit alcoholic and more like a brandy than rum (really the first rum I have such an impression). Taste is not better - maybe it is not very alcoholic but it tastes like nothing, the most neuther rum I ever tried. Everything even from Havana Club will be better - more alcoholic of course, but it at least tastes like rum.
I'm sure that everyone who rated it more than 4 didn't ever drink real rum.
Not sure if i would prefer this or havana 7.
Always in the middle of what to get but it i can find it would go besides havana 7.

EN: a thin rum with a certain feeling of hardness of the alcohol that is usually found in cheap rums, but it is a cheap rum and that actually brings it into the light because at the given price this rum is not bad at all. if you let it breathe a little to get rid of that hardness, you will discover a tasty rum, even if the alcohol will burn more strangely, it will spread pleasant aromas of vanilla first of all, pepper and some cocoa
a decent rum that is worth the money
Friend brought some back from Cuba for me. Surprised others haven’t rated it MUCH higher. Best neat “sipper” I’ve ever had except for one for which I’ve been on a 10 year “rum quest” to find.
Good taste and aroma. It can be drunk neat, but not the perfect taste. Good in cocktails.
Cheers!
I tried this rum in Cuba in 2008. I remember that it was very common on the island, and it was very similar to the añejoHC. good taste and flavor
Sweet smelling, an almost red wine like note.
"Finish whilst reasonably long is very one dimensional, oaky and bitter."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Slightly sweet and really light rum for a very good price. Let it rest in a glass for a while before tasting as the initial smell and taste are a bit harsher.
