For me this was a very good mixer rum. I could have had it neat but it was just a little on the dry side.
8,5/10
Was fortunate to have been able to get my hands on a couple bottles of this splendid liquid. Rich, very complex, with a good amount of heat but never overpowering. This isn’t a typical heavy ester bomb, but it’s very much it’s own unique thing. One of the best,… correction, the best Jamaican style I’ve had the pleasure of tasting.
first i must say that this rum is so smooth that in a blind tasting you ll never know it s 56% ABV, nose: i recognize Jamaican funky style, in the mouth it is warming but smooth, wood, vanilla, tropical fruits, banana, way better than the single estate brother, finish, sweet Jamaican funk stays long in your mouth ... it s expensive here in Croatia, spent 141 euro but ok, a very classy rum will be added in the menu at the end of season ...

This is the first time I’ve seen Worthy Park at a liquor store. I looked it up and saw that everyone gave it great ratings, so I decided to try it. I tasted the funkiness that comes with Jamaican rums, but it also had a nice oaky flavor with notes of fruit. It’s not too sweet and smooth. I enjoyed it with lime and a splash of Coke. So glad I found this one!
An upgrade to the standard Single Estate for sure with the higher ABV and added years giving it more intensity and complexity. A high quality excellent sipper. Some time to breathe and then a little water added opens up the 12 tropical year cask maturation and you get more for you money.
Competing with the Velier expressions with a similar high price tag the price (2020) will turn some away. 1 point docked for price - so would have been a 9 pointer.
Jamaican rum were not love at first sight for me, even though I tried really good ones (according to others). But this one really amazed me. Nice nose with wood, vanilla and some fruits, smooth just a little sweet taste with fruity notes and what I absolutely loved was the banana finish. So for me the best start for Jamaican ester rum beginners!

. Strong but not burning as you would expect from 56%. What I love is aftertaste

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
