HSE Eleve sous bois 1-Year

This was a very smooth rum agricole from Martinique. The bottle labeling is slightly different than one pictured but it seems to be same rum. Alcohol on the nose but dry smooth taste, with lingering depth. Not an expert on agricole’s but this one was welcomed by a bar owner in Bologna Italy along with a Cohiba cigar. Not too shabby at 2 am closing time.

A delightful agricole that's not too expensive for a single year aged product ... Impressive that the flavours in a year have quite the dynamic

This rhum agricole has matured for 12-18 months in french oak barrels. Flavor profile is based on raisins, white grapes, dried pears and vanilla. No extended finish. Convincing especially given the current price (it is one of the cheapest rum bottles from Habitation Saint-Etienne).

Ce rhum se laisse apprécier sec si l'on a pas peur de s'attaquer à un rhum assez fort. Sinon il est excellent pour les ti'punch ou autres cocktails à base de rhum.

This golden agricole rum from HSE is nice for sipping because of its floral notes but you can also enjoy it as ti-punch or in cocktails.
