I heard about this little gem, through a business colleagues, friend of a friend. Yep one of those stories.
Finally today 3x bottles landed on my desk. The rum is aged on barrels made of a local wood called Yamanay. It gives it a light colour and a pleasant nose. Simple, light and not intoxicating. The flavors are light and smooth at first, though quickly change to alcohol and finish with a sharp bite.
My first two sips I found it delectable and warm but by the third sip the excitement started to wain.
For the avid collector, definitely something for your cellar. A talking piece at least.
