Bacardi keeps bottling new flavors so that they can take up most of the shelf space in liquor stores. There is no room for the competition. It's a terrible situation.
This one is supposed to be coconut and cantaloupe. It tastes like a urine sample from a monster (don't ask how I know). This stuff has nothing in common with real rum.

I had this side by side with the Bacardi Coconut, and these are very close. This says it is infused with rock melon (whatever that is), and I detect a slight hint of citrus. I prefer the regular coconut to this, because I'm not a huge fan a citrus/melon. But this comes close and I still consider it one of the best of the Bacardi flavored rums.

Smells like coconut... 1 out of 10
The aroma is basically the best thing about this. It does smell like coconut. But the flavor is horrible. It is supposed to be a combination of "rock melon" (e.g. -- cantaloupe) and coconut but I couldn't taste any cantaloupe at all. It has almost an acid burn to it and a massive chemical bitterness leaving a very bad aftertaste. This would absolutely ruin anything one would put this into.
Down the drain this goes. That was $16 I wasted. Hopefully this will serve as a warning to other...do not buy this "rum". Can you really call it rum? Seemed more like moonshine rotgut to me with artificial coconut flavoring overload.
Oh great...now I'm burping up the coconut leftovers.
Thanks a LOT Bacardi! NOT!
