Deep rich nose light caramel, taste is a bit too sweet for me but down the middle for thise that like flor de cana or bambu level sweetness. Finish is like a sugar daddy with a slight burn. Sweetness feels a little bit synthetic but otherwise sippable
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

A totally unique flavored craft rum from central Florida

I finally got my hands on a bottle of this flavored rum from a store only 30 miles away from the distillery in Ocala Florida.
It starts off with their white rum, which is made from the crystal clear waters of the nearby Rainbow River and refined molasses. Then it is aged with dark toasted oak chips and finished with a little nutmeg and a trace of brown sugar to make their award winning Gold Rum. Then this Gold Rum gets farm to rum ingredients from homemade butterscotch sauce, some of the original molasses, blueberries, blackberries, hibiscus, and Venetian Lilly. All ingredients are grown on their farm. I am only summarizing the much better description from their website. This may sound like overkill, but I assure you that it is not. It is now my top ranked flavored rum, because I have my coconut rums and spiced rums in separate categories. At $42 US, this one is not cheap, but well worth all of the effort that went into it. The bottle also exudes class.
Update May 6, 2021: I got the crazy idea today to mix fresh blueberries with this rum, since they are one of the infused ingredients. Whatever you do, don't even think of doing this as the blueberries produced serious overkill. This rum was meant to be served on the rocks, which is quite fine. As for adding anything else, Chambord Liqueur is all that comes to mind as a possibility. I would shy away from sour ingredients unless one truly loves the clash of flavors. I prefer harmony.
