Arcane Extraroma 12-Year

Rum mě na první pohled okouzlil především hnědavou barvou, která je doplněná sladší chutí.

Rhum très parfumé, riche en arôme, très rond et sucré. Un côté bonbon qui peut rebuter.

...dar atat de dulce ca abia se poate suporta cu gheata... multa gheata... pentru aroma asta aparte merita incercat dar nu isi merita banii....

daca dulceata era macar la jumatate ar fi fost un rom cu adevarat special

Sugar cane aroma and maybe hazelnut, vanilla and caramel in body, slightly fruity, christmassy. No tail

Coco, vanilla, banana, this is a very exotic rum. His aroma is different than all the other rums I tried. Special but for those who like this kind of aroma.
A little bit to exotic for me....

Should not be on anyone's must list, only an occasional encounter

I'm not sure what to think of this rum. I drank 2 bottles of it.
the first was very pleasant to drink. fragrant but not too much, hints of vanilla and banana.
the second was undrinkable, too much banana flavors and very strong liquorice. The difference between these two bottles is the power of the aromas, which clearly makes me think that this is a flavored rum. I find it a bit expensive for that kind of rum.

Besides opting for the more recognizable "rum" spelling, the fresh cane juice distillate is first processed close to the source on Mauritius, then brought to Cognac for another go in small alembic stills. This rum is aged a minimum of 12 years in a solera method using French oak"

Nose:
Very strong banana, coconut and tropical fruit cake, vanilla.

Taste:
Coconut comes first strongly, then follows HEAVY amount of tropical fruits,marzipan and banana and lastly a hint of vanilla. It is extremely sweet i have to say

Finish:
Smooth because the added sugar, not much oak

Verdict: Another dessert rum, it is heavily sugared but it also has very unique taste profile, all the lovely heavy tropical and marzipan aromas make me wonder how altered this rum really is.
Some suggest this is elixir (rum liquer)
I suggest cane syrup and loads of different flavouring agents are used, natural or artificial? I dont know. But straight rum this is not for sure.
But as a dessert rum, interesting, offers truly something different but too sweet and lack transparency regarding the production and ingredients.

It's good, but I did not appreciate this banana flavor that are in my opinion too noted. one glass but not two ..

très original, très surprenant...
un coté bonbon arlequin qui ne laisse pas indifférent, mais qui peut faire un peu chimique.
