This rum is from the oldest distillery in Queensland and a favourite with many an Aussie Rum drinker who wants something different from the usual Bundy found on Pub shelves .Doesnt have the strong chemical hit that some Rums do but also lacks a bit of the coffee taste or sweetness we get from the Jamaican brews but it is well worth a try and their new Double Barrel Rum is even better.

Not my teste, smell better than taste with kind of fruits, orange, babana? Sharp on first shot, alcoholic feeling. After bourbon barrel...

As Todd Dunn wrote earlier... huge dissapointment buying this one;
I'm even hesitating using it for cooking ...

How it won an international award is a mystery !

Huge gap between alcohol & taste.

The bottle states "Worlds Best", but they must live in another world down under. How this got an award as the worlds best dark rum is a mystery. I will have to mix it to finish the bottle.

My expectations were not high from Australian tum, especially for that price, but the reality was a little worse...

Harsh chemical nose, flavours remind me of Bundaberg with a chemical aftertaste. Your new friend when you have guests that you really want to leave. You might rate this higher if you drank Bundy first but that's the only reason I can see a higher rating. Aged 5 years.... maybe in a gasoline tin.
