Don Papa Small Batch Rum is produced by the Bleeding Heart Rum Company on the southern island of Negros in the Philippines. The rum is distilled from molasses, then aged for over 7 years in American oak barrels, and lastly charcoal filtered.
The name Don Papa rum was inspired by Papa Isio, a leader of the Philippine revolution against the Spanish who led his island to independence before joining the main revolutionary movement.

I Love this rum. Orange, toffee, smoke. Nice color.
Fine nose. For my opinion really a fine rum.
This round flavor . A soft balance while drinking .
This is truly a fine and absolutely recommendable Rum .

This rum is a very sweet one. It is perfect to start. I've been advised to buy it because I started to appreciate rum more and more and I don't regret it!
This rum is very fruity, with light oakiness. Has a pleasant orange smell with a touch of chocolate. It is original but still good.

Very nice flavored and good to drink more then one.Sweet and a lot of taste.Depends on what you like.People that dont like rhum should begin with this one.This is very and easy to drink not burning too much
Per gli amanti del gusto dolce, molto pieno in bocca. Forse esagerato come sapore da sembrare uno sciroppo. Ottimo il rapporto qualita/prezzo.

Incredibly sweet.
Strong vanilla taste which must be added in.
Very drinkable neat but I'd choose lots of other rums ahead of this.

Habe den Rum am Rum Fest Berlin 2015 verkostet und war bitter enttäuscht. Viel zu süß, aromatisiert und für Rumliebhaber nicht zu empfehlen.
Zeer lekkere rum, heel zacht, lekkere nasmaak, coole fles. Ideaal om 's avonds te genieten.

Een mooie fles en etiketten. Een hele zachte rum lekker na smaak. Maar de don papa 10j vindt ik nog iets beter

Flavour wise incontinent and medicinal 5 out of 10
Yug. I don't care for Don Papa. I've encountered it three times now at different parties/markets/events in my home country. I guess there is an importer here who really wants to sell the stuff. Flavours are all over the place. Aftertaste doesn't go well with the initial taste. Also very medicinal and artificial. Like an artificial sweetener lingering in the background. Tastes a bit like foodstuffs with stevia in. Avoid this one.
