Philippines | Aged | 40% ABV
Don Papa Small Batch Rum is produced by the Bleeding Heart Rum Company on the southern island of Negros in the Philippines. The rum is distilled from molasses, then aged for over 7 years in American oak barrels, and lastly charcoal filtered.
The name Don Papa rum was inspired by Papa Isio, a leader of the Philippine revolution against the Spanish who led his island to independence before joining the main revolutionary movement.

Bought this one for my father, but in my opinion it tastes very synthetic. Dont think it is as aged as they say. Bottle looks nice on the shelf so keep it there and dont touch it anymore.
I can't tell precisely, but there's something wrong with this taste. Need to get used to it? Mix it into a long drink? Not for me at the moment. At least bottle label is beautiful.
Déçu par la dégustation. Rhum artificiel.
Nope, not my cup of syrup. I tried it dry (no ice, no cola) but it was way too sweet for my taste. Normally I like sweet rums but Don Papa had a strong vanilla (and/or whatever that (fake) flavor was) taste. Glad I got to try, so now I know that I won’t be buying this anytime soon.

Smells a lot like a vanilla and lemonade ice cream float.
"For all its sweet sugariness, its really very drying and bitter on the palate once it all settles down."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

this truly isn't a good rum, way to many artificial flavors. an abundance of caramel is very easily detectable, this is pretty much the only thing that you can taste in this rum, not much going on further.
