I picked up a bottle of this at Christmas a few years ago and really enjoyed with a splash of cola. A very sweet flavour by itself. Christmas is the only time I think of it but I did enjoy it.

Not bad, good rum to make Rum'N'Cokes as it is a pretty simple rum that doesn't bring rich flavors.

Meh. Okay for mixing but not for sipping. Better than the overly sweet and punchless main brand.

Definitely has a strong caramel, sugary, almost marshmallows finish. Very harsh alcohol backing. Almost tastes like a sweetened vodka. Definitely best when mixed with Coke or even root beer. Disguises the overwhelming ethanol front and compliments the sugary finish. Perfect for an affordable, single tasty drink to cap an evening.

Not a bad choice or spiced rums but not mix first choice. As a mellow flavor, could taste the vanilla, but didn't have any flavour that wanted me to purchase it on my own.

This is your average white spiced rum. Heavy vanilla flavor which mixes well for certain cocktails. I wouldn't say that is overly sweet, but it's definitely not dry. You can make a decent cocktail with this if you take the time to build one around the flavor profile. Otherwise, it's the college rum mix with citrus lemon/ lime soda.

Good for mixing with fruit and fresh juice.
Value is OK. Has vanilla flavours. A little bit sweet.

This one has some decent spiced rum qualities when it came to taste which I like (i.e. vanilla), but I found it also had an artificial, oily texture, not one I'd be able to drink straight, which is usually my benchmark for a higher-rating. Not for me; but to each, his or her own, right?

Not too much taste in this one but not too bad if you're planning on making mojitos for company and you like the Captain Morgan brand. This will do just fine for recipes requiring white or light rum at mid-large events where you don't have to spend a lot of money and aren't really looking for top shelf quality.

Most of the time rum is for a mixed drink, and this is one of the better rums I've tried in a mix and found I enjoyed enough to buy again. Its meant to be enjoyed within that context and does what it sets out to do. Nothing fancy here and theres nothing wrong with that.
