Bacardi Superior Rum is the original Bacardi rum, dating back to 1862 when Don Facundo Bacardi Massó purchased his first rum distillery in Cuba. 150 years later, Bacardi Superior is now manufactured in Puerto Rico, but the recipe remains largely the same.

A unique strain of yeast discovered in the Cuban sugarcane fields is used to produce Bacardi Superior rum. The rum is filtered through charcoal, a process pioneered by Bacardi, before and after it is aged in oak barrels for at least one year.

This is pure cancer in a bottle. Tastes chemical even if you mix it with cola. To drink pure, it is completely worthless. Drink a few glasses of it, guaranteed headache.

Not drinkable on its own. Can be mixed in cocktails but still not a lovely taste.

It's cheap and it tastes cheap. It can still make a rum and coke but it's like most Bacardi rums for me, low end and is more of a "I'll drink it if there's no other choice."

+ price
- everything, taste, flavor, color etc. This rum is only for coctail or cooking

If Bacardi Superior was all the rum i had to drink, i would switch to bourbon. or kerosene for that matter

Don't. Just... don't. Airs of toilet cleaner with a hint of gasoline.

There are almost no redeeming features of this rum. It has a chemical taste that barely make you think of rum.

There are so many better alternatives, that I can't find any reason to buy this. At least it is a straight, unaltered product. Then again so is Flor de Cana 4 Anos. Price difference is minimal. Hence Bacardi Superior could be used for larger parties but cheaper rum by other distillers will do as well.

Why people continue to buy this crap is beyond me. Price... ok, I get it however, their are so many other rums available at this price that are exceedingly better. Moreover, it isn't like other rums are not commonly found at liquor stores leading people to select this by reason of no other choice. Bland, strong alcohol burn and complexity that is not there.
Yuk.
Another example of companies mass producing and neglecting quality.

...it is terrible.

Not even good as a mixer...just spent a lot of money in commercials and co instead of the quality of the rum itself...

Shame on you Bacardi...
