A friend bought this for me (and helped drink it too). I was very pleased with the sweet vanilla-ish aroma. Easy drinking and enjoyable. I would recommend this rum although it is a little pricey but worth it!!

This rum is truly terrific. Great neat but preferred with a cube of ice. Mixes well with diet cola. My pallet is spiced rums and light rums but not Captian or Sailor, a truly unique flavor that is appreciated after a long hard day. Enjoy!

The old style in the corked bottle with thatched weave at neck was perfection, the new variety in a screw top cap with printed neck label is swill. So sad that they screwed up what was such a great rum. My rating is an averaged 5, 10 for the old mix, 0 for the new which you shouldn't waste your money on.

I can't put my finger on it, besides tasting like recycled rum with bar mat liquid added, but I don't like it.

I don’t know if I would call this rum. Too sweet, and it has the consistency of a liqueur more than a rum.

This is an easy one to recommend to someone trying run as a Stan alone sipper. Butter sweet with a little clove at the end.

I can barely remember it as it was a small sample years ago but I recall it being on the level of Flor de Caña 12 year and a cut above Barbancourt. I haven't tried the 16 but my boss said he felt like that one was way too vanilla heavy. While I can't recall all the details of this one, I have always questioned why I never bought a bottle, so, it was good enough to make me realize that. Must have left an impression...

Smooth but very very sweet and some aftertaste. There are better sippers available in the price range.
