Nicely sweet on the nose with hints of vanilla, molasses and fruit. In mouth you can feel a lot of alcohol to my taste bud it is not that dramatic. You can find another flavours like honey, fruit, sugar cane and spice. Definetively not bad but it could be more balanced with less alcohol burn.
Anglický suchý styl rumu. Krásně voní, ale chuť je nezajímavá, plochá.
Reminiscent of the El Dorado family of rums. It has a dark amber appearance, sweet caramel dominated aroma. The taste is sweet, smooth, caramel, honey, molasses and a slight oak barrel aftertaste. It's easily sipped and easy to like, especially at that price (UK). The sweet taste might put some off though.
A fairly priced 10 year old rum, but not my favourite brand of demerara rum. Good, but it's no El Dorado.
It has a woody smell, left it to sit for a while but still has some burn.
Good rum, with spicy flavors, good balance between sweet and alcohol.
I was just getting serious about rum. When I got the gift I didn't know this was from Guyana. El Dorado was my favorite. It took a couple of years to open the bottle. What can I say, it was worth the wait. A typical sweet and smokey Guyanian rum. I've had it straight and mixed and in cocktails. And will again!
Rhum assez léger avec une robe claire. Sur le beurre, noisette et noix. Très beau dernier nez.
Tastes of caramel and raisins and dried fruits.
"It isn’t quite as sweet and has a little more oakiness in the profile. It leaves quite a dry aftertaste when sipped."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I'm a big fan of Guyanese rums (though this also has rum from other islands like Trinidad mixed in) even though I wish they didn't add so much sugar to them and let them stand on their own. I feel this one though sweet isn't as sweet as the El Dorado rums in the same age range. It's very smooth with tastes of raisin and dried fruit though it also has an "oaky" aftertaste. Overall I would use this one again as a sipper or mixer.
