This offering has a nose of leather and burnt wood. The flavor profile has burnt wood, leather, and chocolate. It is not the most fantastic rum and keeps a burn all the way through the session. That being said it does have some shimmering positives to it.
Väldigt annorlunda. Len, inte alls vanilj men ändå söt. Citrusfrukter. Stjärnanis. Kokos
Trevlig doft men något korkig smak. Inget jag kommer köpa igen.
Trying new rums via Rum Ratings club. This one is XM Royal 10 year gold. Very pale golden color, moderate alcohol scent along with some light maple notes. Sweet watered down flavor with a kick / burn. Not a whole lot going on here, middle of the road rum would not seek it out, but would not turn it down either. Will try balance again this weekend, expected better for 10 years of aging. Bottle states product of Trinidad, but I read it’s from Guyana, does not taste like Demura rum.
This rum ok. I first tried it against the XM Supreme 15 Year, which I liked more, as that is a good, simple overall rum, while this seems to include more additives that add to the flavors.
Has a bit of a floral taste, with herbs, citrus, raisin, oak, leather, and butter.
Not bad, but not great to me.
Really enjoyed the nose and initial taste, but the mid palate and finish were too bitter and dry for me.
A nice, pale gold color to this rum - in guessing there's no artificial coloring going on here - with a sharp, slightly floral nose of dried fruit.
The sharpness carries through in the early tasting. The sweetness here is mild and the flavor really dominated by a woodsy, baking spice sort of flavor with moderate alcohol burn. And yet - quite drinkable and reasonably smooth.
If this were priced at $20-25 on my local store shelf, I'd have no problem picking up a bottle as a mixer. It's really too one dimensional to drink straight.
Yes. The nose was by far the best part of this one. Dark fruits, some woodiness, and alcohol. The flavor confused me a bit with hints of sweetness from vanilla and some bourbon. The finish felt incomplete and fell short. Like the rating states “easily consumable in a bind.” That’s all I’ll say about this one.
Tastes of caramel and raisins and dried fruits.
"It isn’t quite as sweet and has a little more oakiness in the profile. It leaves quite a dry aftertaste when sipped."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Banana, vanilla and caramel, very nice! Does not entirely hide the acetone. Very good taste the first few seconds, but a not so pleasent aftertaste. I did over all enjoy this, though!
