En meget krydret rom med en dominerende "kanel-karakter". Den har en behagelig duft og krydret smag, men den mangler en anelse kompleksitet, og den udvikler sig derfor ikke alverden. 👍

Alkohol: 40 %
Původ: Dominikánská republika
Aroma: Med, kůže, skořice, hřebíček, propolis. Tím propolisem mi lehce připomíná Angosturu. Ale Vizcaya je sladší, medovější. (87 b)
Chuť: Uhlazená, medově nasládlá na počátku, pak koření a zase ten propolis, jako by zase přešel do té Angostury. (87 b)
Body: 87
Kombinace medu a Angosturovské propolisovosti u mě bodovala. Snad jen ta cena je jedinou vadou na kráse tohoto dominikánského klenotu.

An other excellent Dominican rum, balanced, subtly sweet, beautiful color. Delicate aromas of caramel and vanilla.
I like the nice decanter with heavy thick bottom.

I like this rum a lot, but it might be a little too good for my amatuer tongue. There are a lot of flavors going on that keep me from enjoying it straight as much as maybe a plainer but still smooth rum. This one also doesnt mix as well as some others, but I dont think thats what its meant for, either. However, I still enjoy it over many other rums. Maybe one day my quality as a rum drinker will raise enough for me to enjoy it more.

This is the rum I hold others to. I love this rum, I drive over an hour and a half to get my bottles. This was my first aged rum and i haven't looked back.

This delicious rum is great. Aroma, color and taste are all what you would expect in a top shelf sipping rum. I highly recommend adding this rum to your premium collection.

Be cool,
jt

This is what old Cuban rum is. A modern standard for top shelf.

This is a must-try. Even a rum drinking novice can immediately tell the quality and smoothness. So smooth, you will question if it really is rum. Reccomended straight-up only. Distilled from pure sugar cane juice. Hints of vanilla, pineapple, and caramel.

Bottle: I like its shape but I do not like the label, all of the information is on the bottleneck so it is not easy to read it. On the other hand I like the simple cristal bottle with just a name on it. - 0,5/1
Colour: Nice amber
Aroma: Very nice. I smell vanilla, banana and little bit of chocolate. Overall impression is very interesting and pleasing. - 2/2
Taste: It is not agressive on the tongue. There is some banana. The rum is quiet sweet. It is fine rum but I'm lacking something complex. It is not too much better than Cask 12 - 3,5/5
Aftertaste: Very pleasent. It leaves some sweetness behind so it is pleasent rum even after the glass is finished. - 2/2

This rum delivers aromatics and flavors not dissimilar to the Trinidad rums I enjoy. But, somehow, I didn't get the complexities and richness I associate with rums in this price category. While it's beautifully presented, and will be enjoyed by those with a taste for the sweeter rums, it didn't quite live up to my expectations for an overall experience.
