Tasting Club Basics

What is the Tasting Club?

The Tasting Club was initially created by the Founders of RumRatings (Angel & Andy) to share their favorite rums with a few of the most active RumRatings users. It quickly evolved to a 'full-blown' quarterly rum sample kit now shared with hundreds of members.

 

What's included in each quarterly shipment?

- 5 rum tasting bottles, 50ml each
- A unique rum-related gift
- Tasting notes and pairing recommendations
- Access to expert-led virtual tasting videos

 

How often do I receive rum samples?

Samples arrive quarterly in a high-quality 'tube' that holds 5 rum mini bottles. So an annual Tasting Club subscription would include 4 total shipments with 20 total rum mini bottles. Each shipment also includes a unique piece of swag.

 

What is the swag all about?

We're not only fans of rum but also the many items rum companies produce to share with their most loyal drinkers. This could be anything from an elegant sipping cup, fine chocolate, or a fun t-shirt. The possibilities are endless!

 

 

What kind of rum is included?

We try to find unique and rare rums that are both A) highly rated and B) members have yet to try. On a quarterly basis we actually look through each member's RumRatings cabinet to try and find rums they'll truly appreciate (yep, we're basically detectives).

 

When will my order ship?

Your box will ship every quarter on a Jan/Apr/Jul/Oct schedule and typically depart by the 3rd week of that month. You will receive an email with tracking information when your box is en route. Please be sure someone 21+ is available to sign for the package.

 

Are there any shipping fees?

No. While shipping is our largest cost (a shock to us initially), an annual subscription includes all shipping charges. We're considering sending the 4 quarterly sample kits all at once to save members some cost, but at this time shipments are still sent quarterly. 

 

What if I have an issue?

We are certainly not a large corporation (or a corporation at all), you can either email us directly or even post on the help board and we'll get back to you ASAP. We had some shipping issues during and just after Covid, but everything is now running like a well-oiled machine!
