Equiano

Equiano rum was created by Ian Burrell (The global rum ambassador) and Richard Seale (Master Distiller of Foursquare) by merging rums from Gray’s Distillery in Mauritius and Foursquare Distillery in Barbados. The brand name was inspired by the Nigerian-born abolitionist Olaudah Equiano, who the mid-1700s bought his own liberation from slayery with savings he earned through selling rum. Equiano donates 5% of its profits to ground level freedom and equality projects.
