As many of my followers already know, I am not one to write very simple reviews from a smart phone, which I refuse to even own (long story there). I am always quite descriptive while admitting to being awful with tasting notes. Then, I update my reviews as needed. This REALLY comes in handy, since I use my own reviews as my personal notes for each rum that I have tried. My spreadsheet is a good start in deciding if I should try a rum that I have not had in quite a while.

Specifically, I had not tried Pampero Anniversario in years and have it rated as a 7. My spreadsheet basically pointed out that it was a good buy, but not an excellent one. At only $30, this got me wondering, so I had no choice except to look up my review that began almost 5 years ago. My rating sank down slowly from a 9 to 7 over a period of 2 years. I did not buy another bottle.
