As some of you know I'm helping Andy and Angel replacing temporary images with photos and also searching for doubles of the same rum.

So far I've replaced over 2200 temporary images with correct pictures and found over 300 doubles.

If you add a new rum.

First of all make a check that it's not already created.

Secondly, if you add a new rum, Please add a good front photo of the bottle (that looks like the images) especially if it's an uncommon rum hard to find photos of on the net.

If you have add a new rum and the temporary image hasn't been replaced with a photo within a week it's depending on that it's not possible to find a picture on the net and that I need a picture from you who added the rum.

If you want help to add a new rum you can use this thread to get help from me.

Let us altogether help each other to make this site the best rumsite.

Cheers

Stefan:

I have a very special case whereby I placed my review for the same physical rum under the wrong title because I had the Velier version of a Caroni. When I reviewed it, there was not even a place for the Velier version. Absolutely confusing, but I finally figured it out. I just don't know how to move an entire review.

Check the reviews for this Caroni and mine is the one with 5 likes. Make note of the pictures included.

This review clearly needs to be moved to the correct version below.

Paul,

I don't have the possibility to move a review nor delete it.

I believe it's just Andy and/or his administrators that can. So we'll have to pass this question to Andy.

What you can do if you want is to write your review once more at the right place. /Stefan

Stefan:

My first urge was to write my review into the correct area. But the last time that I did that, I got flagged for duplicate reviews (years ago) and the correct review wound up getting deleted while the original review was still being stuck in the wrong place. After that, I just said to hell with it.

Thanks for passing this on to Andy.

Stefan:

Three new premium rums from Louisiana have recently graced the shelves of liquor stores. I will be reviewing their top of the line agricole tomorrow. When I created the new rum here, I did not have the URL, which has images for all three bottles. It will not let me add this URL to the new rum, so here goes:

https://www.oxbowrumdistillery.com/oxbow-estate-rum

Hi Paul,

Done, but it was a little hard to find pictures of the 2021 version. On their homepage they had just the 2022 version.

Stefan:

Thanks! I doubt that anyone will zoom in to see the different year. It is indeed the right bottle of the three versions of rum that they sell. My review will be posted tomorrow. If it is a good one, I may try their two less expensive ones. So far, it is very aromatic, just from opening up the bottle. I am now on my last day of antibiotics and still cannot drink. As an agricole fan, I know that you will be looking forward to my review.

Paul,

Read your review of the Oxbow. Should really like to taste it, but it will never be imported to EU as long as they call it Agricole.

So if you visit Sweden, bring me a bottle. I will as well try to find it when/if I visit the U.S.

Stefan:

Out of the 39 agricoles that I have rated, only 7 are ranked above this new Oxbow Estate one. Six are from Martinique and one is from the Dominican Republic. All are aged and have more flavors on the pleasant side. As I stated in my review for this Oxbow Esate Agricole, it is strongly recommended for beginners of agricoles. It also happens to be my top ranked unaged agricole.

Since you are quite knowledgeable about agricoles,, you probably have reviewed a pot distilled one. Check this out and let me know.

As for travel, I am extremely limited these days. In 2001, I let my passport expire after 9-11.

I would go to the liquor store and offer to pay for a bottle to be sent to you, but where I live, it is illegal to ship out or to receive distilled spirits.

As for the other two bottles from Oxbow Estate, both are on the expensive side for what they are, so I won't be buying either one.

Paul,

One example of Pot still distilled rum from Cane Juice, that I reviewed not so long ago, is the Dunfermline from the quite new Renegade Distillery in Grenada.

That's really something special. It's very tasty but also a little rough so it's probably nothing for beginners.

Check that review for more info.

Stefan:

I just checked your review of  Dunfermline pot still agricole from Grenada. From your descriptions, it sounds awfully damn close to tasting like the Oxbow Estate Agricole from Louisiane that I just reviewed. And both got our ratings of an 8.

Bravo to my fellow rum loving brother!!!!

Hey Paul, Stefan flagged your question in the beginning of this discussion about moving a review. Unfortunately even I don't have that ability to move a review from one rum to another - I'm told by our developer it's something about the database and associated bottles being difficult to alter in it's current form. You'd just need to delete the review and copy/paste it to the correct rum. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Recently there have been quite many added rum, some new bottlings and some odd ones without added pictures that's impossible for me to find pictures of.

For example: Two new Holmes Cay that pictures probably will show up upon in due time.

Other examples is a rum from Lost Spirits and one Ron Boliviar. Those two will probably be impossible for me to fix without pictures from the reviewer.
