Remember when I last said here that is difficult to monitor prices of rums? Apparently this problem has been addressed by Velier, who featured a huge dataset of rum prices from auctions, including both the sellers' expenses and buyers' income. I can't say I fully understand the structure of this database but I think predictions of the prices for 2022 are also included. Enjoy: https://www.velier.it/en/rumbase?mc_cid=b2b0bb5da9&mc_eid=fcd10590e2

I'm surprised it doesn't link back to the original listing, or does it and I just don't see the link?

Andy: what do you mean? I think they don't give any sources or links at al, they just copy the data.

Yeah that’s what I mean - eg it seems like they just copy the data without attribution. Bummer would be nice to track some of it to the source. RR does pull in quite a number of prices which display to premium/TC users, I’m guessing it wouldn’t be ‘that hard’ to track them over time as well…

Yeah, I agree. Furthermore they seem to list only auction records. Surely they collected data from rumauctioneer, but what else? I compare it with my own notes from some auctions and some prices differ and the one from the rumbase is often higher.

Another good platform is now online. But it's only free for 14 days:

Yeah, wanted to post it today but the fees seems extremely high.

Yes, I think it's for entrepreneurs. I would make good use of the 14 days and precisely coordinate the time of the start to determine the collection value.

Hi guys, Thnx a lot for the mention. Our application SpiritRadar can do much more than other portals, we have more deep data and we are not just database. And we dont wanna do ratings of rum. Please check a list of our features https://www.spiritradar.com/features/ Every day, we go through shops and auctions several times a day in our system so that we can send you new bottle offers in stock. This technology is not cheap and we spend almost 2 years by developing that app. And if you save your money for just one bottle per month, because you find that bottle for cheap by our app, thats the price of the app and thats how we think about it.

Here is quick introduction of an app if I may:

We are rum lovers and we originally created the app for ourselves so that we don't have to spend hours searching for rums. In the end, it grew so large that we decided to make it public. The biggest advantage is the fact that if you follow any bottle, we will send you an e-mail with the offers of the bottle in stock or if we find it in the auction. You ca see screens here: https://www.spiritradar.com/features/email-notifications/

We have huge amounts of data and we try to educate people in prices so that they do not pay too high prices for rums. Here is an example of how we work with data https://www.spiritradar.com/features/history/

Another important function is to forward the growth of the prices of own collection, so that people have an overview of which bottle is becoming rarer and which is not, and they could then open it accordingly: https://www.spiritradar.com/features/my-collection/

Then we try to give people shopping tips, when if we find the bottle really cheaply, or it appears in stock after a really long time, we put these findings in the section Shopping tips to people can find it easily: https://www.spiritradar.com/features/shopping-tips/

We are not bottle sellers and we do not want to be, we try to help people find bottles that they would like to buy themselves. Everyone can then try all the features for 14 days for free.

Guys please, let me know what you think about it, we care about every opinion. We had 290 rum people from all over the world for testing the app before launch. Thank you very much and I hope you will like it.
