I'm looking for some great sweet rums to try as I'm really into sweet liqueurs, I'm currently enjoying Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva and Plantation XO, I'm also enjoying Dictador wich has a great coffee flavour. I currently have my eyes set on trying Bumbu and Chairman's Reserve. Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated.
Stick to Latin/Spanish styled Ron. Most of them are sweet and DRE is one of the sweetest.
My favorite Ron is Zafra and Malecon Rare Proof, but I suggest that you go for Zacapa 23, Malteco, Abuelo, A.H. Riise or the ordinary Malecon.
If you want to develop your rum tasting you can go for Angostura or a more demanding Latin styled Ron, for example Cuban Ron.
Chairman’s Reserve is British styled and has no added sugar at all so I think you should wait a little with that.

Oh yes, sweet Oliver y Oliver, don't forget Oliver's Exquisito, Presidente, Punta Cana, Maximo and Ron Esclavo. Lovely are also Ron Centenario from Costa Rica and Millonario from Peru.

Agreed on all suggestions another couple to try Ron Pampero Venezuela, and Dos Maderos 5 + 5. A couple of my favorite sweeter rums. I will have a Zacapa 23 Solara now and then in a pinch at a bar but a bit too sweet for me.
Hi everyone! If you want sweet rums less than 60€ best options are: Brugal Leyenda, Centenario 20, Plantation XO as you said, Abuelo 15 Cognac finish cask, Opthimus 21, Papas Pillar 24 Cherry cask finish, Ophyum 23, Quorhum 23 & Presidente 23 (also bumbu has interesting flavor profile and you can enjoy it easy the summer but it is more flavored rum than aged but try it you will not disappointing think, also that would be great for cocktails)...
Best sweet rums over 60€ : Centenario 25 or 30, Quorhum 30, Malteco 1987, Zacapa XO, Unihq XO, Ron Esclavo XO, Opthimus 25, El Dorado 25 (but way to expensive), A.H. Riise Non Plus Ultra, Santos Dumont XO (A.H. Riise stuff but more exotic fruity...) Also there are many other good rums as Millonario XO, Dos Maderas Luxus, Diplomatico Ambassador or Single Vintage, Zacapa Roayal and more but I am not big fun... From all of them must try from cheaper I said are Centenario 20, Brugal Leyenda, Plantation XO, Opthimus 21 and maybe Papas Pillar 24 Cherry...
Must try from more expensive i said are Ron Quorhum 30, Malteco 1987, Centenario 25 or 30 & Ron Esclavo XO.... Also if you are fun of very sweet rums you will love A. H. Riise stuff...

Try Cihuatan 8 year. My favorite sippers are Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva, Santa Teresa 1796 and Kirk & Sweeny 23 and Cihuatan 8 has just joined my list at half the price. It is sweet, smooth, and tastes like vanilla cookies.
