Is the Dictador 20 worth the money over the 12?

XeniePie: I have tried all of the top 4 easily available Dictador rums side by side. The 20 Year Solera is definitely worth the extra money over the 12 Year Solera! However, when you move up into the big money range to include XO Insolent and XO Perpetual, the differences between the 20 Year Solera and these two are so subtle that it is up to one's funding to judge if the two XO's are worth a lot more money.

I would agree. The Dictador 20years is more complex and smooth. And the price difference is not so big. So yeah... it is worth it. 👍

It should all depend on how much you are ready to spend. Try seeking for an online bargain, it happens that the 20 yo is priced as low as the 12yo somewhere else.

Yes, I agree too, 20 yo the best value for money. For sure, the 12 yo is a nice rum too.
