We could expect some new sherry bombs from Ron del Barrilito in the near future. https://www.thespiritsbusiness.com/2021/02/ron-del-barrilito-expansion-to-boost-production Does anyone know what stills they are using in production? I think Bacardi Familiy is the owner since Joaquin Bacardi is the president of the company. This would mean that they are in the industrial rum production.

I remember thinking Barrilito was this cool local producer in PR when I was there years ago... :(

Now i have to ask... is Barrilito flavored? And is it similar to aged Bacardi Rums!?

Barrilito doesn't have a still. Their juice has been provided by Bacardi for decades.

Indeed. Bacardi ownes Barrilito. Damn. I like Barrilito. It is a great sipper. Bacardi was always a no go for me. But than again Bacardi ownes over 200 brands. The big eat the small ones. https://www.forbes.com/sites/taranurin/2019/04/28/members-of-the-worlds-biggest-rum-family-work-to-preserve-a-centuries-old-competitor/
